How clockin improves the world: Software that connects mobile teams with the office and brings them into the AI era. This includes SME HR processes such as time tracking, absence management and shift scheduling, as well as project and job management and the related documentation workflows.
Traction & focus: Already more than 6,000 customers in Europe; new capital to expand the product and scale European growth.
Münster, 30 September 2025 – clockin has raised €10M in growth capital. The round is led by Newion (Amsterdam) and NRW.Venture (Düsseldorf); existing investors Scalehouse Capital (Osnabrück) and D11Z. Ventures (Heilbronn) are increasing their stakes. The funding will accelerate product development and AI capabilities for deskless and mobile teams in Europe’s SME segment.
A new era for deskless work
Around 80% of the workforce operates away from the traditional office—across small and mid-sized businesses in trades, care services and industry—still largely relying on manual processes and daily paperwork. clockin’s vision is clear: work should be work again—without piles of paper and endless admin. HR processes such as time tracking, shift scheduling and absence management run seamlessly in the background with clockin. The same applies to project planning and documentation. This creates breathing room for companies and employees to focus on what really matters: customers, projects and personal development. The guiding principle: practical, no-frills and easy to use.
“We need to bring all employees into the AI era—especially in small businesses. That unlocks enormous potential for millions of companies,” says clockin CEO & Co-Founder Frederik Neuhaus, describing the idea behind clockin.
Artificial intelligence as a growth driver
In office-based roles, AI is already part of everyday work. On construction sites, with patients, or on the factory floor, it has so far played hardly any role. This is exactly where clockin comes in, making AI practical and truly useful for mobile teams for the first time. AI is becoming a central driver of efficiency and competitiveness—and clockin will use the funding to sustainably strengthen mobile teams across Europe.
From Westphalia to Europe — a SME success story
clockin was founded in Münster in 2018, inspired by feedback from several mid-sized companies looking for a digital solution to their time-consuming paperwork. Since then, the company has grown alongside its customers across more than 50 industries—from trades to care. The result speaks for itself: an easy-to-use, award-winning app that proves digital solutions can be simple.
Comments on the financing
“The deskless workforce is a gigantic, historically underserved market. clockin has the potential to become the leading platform in Europe,” says Mathijs de Wit, Managing Partner at Newion.
“We want nothing less than to free companies and people from paperwork. This is how mobile employees are integrated seamlessly into company processes for the first time—and can operate far more efficiently with AI,” says Neuhaus.
